Stop Puppy Fraud

After two postponements,  the defamation SLAPP suit brought by Donna Roberts and Dawn Abrams against Cliff Mintz aka BioJobBlogger was dismissed today with prejudice by a judge in Burlington County NJ.

We are still waiting for the ruling and will be posting it soon!  This a big day for people working to stop puppy fraud and also for freedom of speech for bloggers who post articles to protect other Americans against would-be scams and frauds.

I think the sun may be beginning to set on Donna and Dawn fraudulent dog selling practices!

StopPuppyFraud anonymously received some documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act about Donna Roberts and the Burlington County Department of Health. Apparently, health officials visited Ms. Roberts on several dates in May and then again in August.   Here is a summary of the health department investigator’s findings.

Then inexplicably the next entry on 8/3/10

Say what?  Coincidentally, BioJobBlogger got sued on June 11, 2010 and has not posted anything since then about Ms Roberts or her daughter Grace Abrams except a blurb about him getting sued.  This means that Ms Roberts was able to finagle whatever she had to get her kennel reinstated without interference by BioJobBlogger or any of the others who have registered complaints about her.

We at StopPuppyFraud don’t think that convicted animal abusers and alleged fraudulent dog breeders ought to be allowed to hijack the legal system to silence whistleblowers who are trying to protect others against nefarious and illicit acts.

I know for a fact that Donna Roberts goes to PA and buys dogs cheap and sells them- paying 100 dollars for a whole little of puppies and then sellsthem for HUNDREDS of dollars. Her LEGAL name has NEVER been Donna Dueben-Marci Jean Dueben is her daughter but she was never married to Marci’s dad,so the name Donna Dueben is an alias! Her house DOES stink and smells ofdog urine and feces. My suggestion to anyone looking for a good dog is tolook elsewhere!!!

Unfortunately Molly’s e-mail address is not a real one so we couldn’t verify or refute the claims.  If you want to help stop Roberts and her ilk then it would help if the folks at StopPuppyFraud.org get more than anecdotal information!

Several people have asked whether or not the suit brought against Cliff Mintz by plaintiffs Roberts and Abrams may have resulted from a personal vendetta between the parties.  To be clear, the lawsuit was filed to silence Cliff because his blog was putting heat and bringing pressure to bear on the plaintiffs business opportunities.

Stop Puppy Fraud was created by friends of Cliff Mintz aka BioJobBlogger who is being sued by a so-called dog breeder (who sold him a misrepresented “rescue” dog) for defamation, invasion of privacy and punitive damages.  The defamation suit stems from posts that appeared on BioJobBlog from 2008 until present.
